Guidepoint’s Data Insights group works with proprietary data to generate actionable insights for the world’s leading institutional investors, consultants and corporations. The Data Insights team is passionate about creating new products through rigorous analysis of data to draw highly-relevant, accurate and timely “alpha generating” quantitative insights.  As a Head of Sales and Business Development for the Data Insights group, you will be an integral member of the team and will be responsible for the development and execution the group’s sales initiatives—with a particular focus on building relationships with buy side firms. You will be supporting a range of interesting and proprietary alterative and primary data-driven products covering sectors such as Healthcare, Industrials, B2B and more. What You’ll Do:

  • Prospect and sell Guidepoint Data Insights products
  • Build and maintain relationships with current and new clients through diligent servicing and long term support ensuring renewals and growth
  • Develop a working knowledge of the industries covered by Guidepoint Data Insights products
  • Play an active role in sales planning and relay valuable client intelligence to leadership team
  • Oversee proposal life cycle (proposal development, submission, delivery and follow-up)
  • Ensure project success, drive usage, identify, and address potential client issues

What You Have:

  • 5+ years of research or data sales experience covering the buy side
  • Excellent writing skills with proficiency in PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal communication skills, capable of handling high-profile clients (Hedge Funds, Mutual Funds, Private Equity and Corporates)
  • Broad base knowledge of the sales process from lead generation to relationship management
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team atmosphere
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to travel 25% domestically
