Overview:

The Guidepoint TRACKER Team is seeking to hire a Data Analyst for our Healthcare and Med Device sector

Guidepoint is a leading independent research firm based in NYC that provides customized primary research and consulting services to premier institutional investment firms that invest in the Healthcare, Technology, Telecom, Media, Retail, Energy and Industrials.  We provide our clients with customized tools to analyze various sectors and sub-sectors via the knowledge and insight of industry professionals that make up our proprietary Network of Advisors.

The Guidepoint TRACKER is a highly-valued platform that monitors growth and trends across 20+ different healthcare markets, with a focus on medical devices and therapeutics. TRACKER is a product that both investors and corporate manufacturers rely on when assessing market growth, market share shifts, new product adoption and pricing trends.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development of and help coordinate surveys and data collection
  • Perform monthly quality assurance testing, cleansing and processing on TRACKER data
  • Prepare, compile and review monthly data for publication/release
  • Integrate numerical data points into tables and text
  • Ability to identify data trends and outliers through the use of time-series tables and graphs
  • Coordinate physician/practitioner panel recruitment process and build relationships with recruited hospital sites and physicians
  • Build a working familiarity with  trends in pertinent healthcare markets – medical devices and therapeutics

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required with preference for degree in sciences, applied statistics or mathematics, economics, market research or other quantitative discipline
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint) required, experience with .NET, HTML, SPSS, Tableau, MatLab, R or other data analysis software is a plus
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Must possess strong attention to detail, multi-tasking and organizational abilities
  • Self-starter with strong work ethic and desire to succeed
  • Team player who has the ability to work closely with others as well as independently
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of healthcare markets such as medical devices and therapeutics is highly preferred and is a huge plus
